What staking changes
Staking makes a balance the rock in this mechanic. Its token count stays fixed while loose balances thin.
Unstaking makes that balance loose again. The move itself keeps the same token count at that instant.
A larger share of what remains does not promise a higher price.

Publishing a token address does not open a vault. Pre-stake needs a published vault, target and genesis block.
Reaching the target does not open the pool automatically. Pool opening requires explicit wiring.
Taking your pre-stake back
Until the staking pool opens, you can take a pre-stake back to the same wallet.
Step 1 sends the published fee in ETH to the vault, plus network gas.
Step 2 is a free signature that proves this wallet asked for the return.
The vault then sends your tokens back. A saved fee is reused if a later step fails.
This path closes when the staking pool opens. Pre-stake transfers close at that moment too.
Test in the lab
The Machine lets you vary example balances, the held share, test rate and elapsed cycles.
Compare what stays with what thins. Record runs and inspect the results without treating them as launch terms.
